No. 1, Green Man with Two Cardinals

This image appropriates Raphael's painting Portrait of Pope Leo X (c. 1520), by replacing the spiritual leader with Marko Djurica's portrait of a Green Man seated between two ecclesiastical figures whose facial features are replaced by Putin and his Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergey Lavrov, who has served in that post since February 24, 2004 -- exactly eighteen years to the day when the Russian Federation invaded Ukraine.
