No. 7, Unmasked

This montage combines the painting, Woman 1 (1950-52) by

Willem de Kooning, with Marko Djurica's portrait of the Green Men leader who is the only rebel to reveal his face which exudes a sinister tone. The deliberately crude brushwork and savage facial expression on the figure in de Kooning's original painting correspond to the eastern Ukrainian separatists' brute-force tactics to gain political control.
